IN FAVOUR OF THE MOTION
Sorao time ago tliero was an earthquake shock in America which disturbed a small western city and rockod iho municipal building so that the ouncillorsj then in session, left without tho usual ceremonies. Tho clerk, a man of rules and regulations, was hard put to it to give his minutes tho proper official tone. Finally he evolved this masterpiece:— "On the motion of the Town Hall, the council adjourned. ”
