Tommy, Palace Terror, Executed

HIS CRIME WAS MURDER Tommy, tho cat, the terror of Kensington Palace, has been judicially executed. For a mouth Tommy, a largo tom cat, Has spread havoc in the grounds of the Palace, where Princess Beatrice and Princess Marie Louise live. Hidden in a secret lair iu a quiet corner of the grounds, he has set forth every night to kill birds.

Effort after effort was made to trap this stray, which looked like a miniature lion and suddenly decided to use tho Royal Palace as a hunting ground. Policemen stalked him and gardeners chased him, but lie always disappeared like a Hash. Bones of his bird victims were found lying m obscure parts of the grounds. In tho Palace grounds' are several pheasants, cherished by the residents. It is now the nesting season, and it was feared that as soon as the young pheasants were hatched they would disappear into the interior of the everhungry Tommy. A hurried trial was held by officials of the Palace, and after a short hearing Tommy was condemned to death on a charge of murder and pillage.

So an R.S.P.C.A. official arrived with a large cage trap and a bloater. The bloater sealed Tommy’s cud. His insatiable appetite was nis undoing. The bloater was inside the trap, in a very short time it was insido Tommy. And Tommy was insido the trap. Ho was borne away and painlessly put to a permanent sleep.
