Selassie’s Estates Confiscated by Italy

Tho Italian Government lias confiscated Haile Selassie's private estates in order to establish agricultural colonies on them when the rains cease. The lirst colonists will be Black Shirts remaining in Abyssinia. A section of the Italian Treasury has been established. The Bank of Ethiopia will be wound up on September I. Haile Welassie intends to remain iu England for some time. The Emperor is house-hunting iu London because the hotels arc too expensive. He explains that he spent a large part of his fortune in the defence of Abyssinia and now must economise. He does not intend to settle in England and still dreams of returning to Abyssinia.
