Public Service Commissioners

Messrs T. Mark and J. H. Boyes Appointed

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The appointment of Mr. T. Mark, Deputy Public Service Commissioner, and Mr. J. H. Boyes, Commissioner of Pensions, to be joint Public Service Commissioners was announced this evening by the Prime Minister. The appointments, which will date from August 15, have been approved by the Governor-General. The new Commissioners hold office for three years. There has been no permanent occupation of the office of the Public Service Commissioner since the resignation last year of Mr. P. D, N. Verschaffelt. Since that time Mr. A. D. Thomson has been acting commissioner with Mr. Mark as assistant.
