With fifty acres of levelling, or fiveoighths of the total finished, work on tho construction of the Feilding aerodrome at Taonui is expected to be completed in two months’ time. One hundred and forty men have been engaged, and good progress has been made. In connection with the forthcoming postal ballot for the directorate of the Cheltenham Co-operative Dairy Company, Mr. E. Christian, a well-known settler of the Stanway district, has announced his candidature. -Mr. Christian is chairman of the local school committee and a long residence iu tho district in which he has always manifested a practical interest should result in suppliers to the company accepting this opportunity of securing district representation on the directorate. Mr. C. Clark, formerly postmaster oi Feilding and now of Whangarei, has been promoted to the postmasterskip of Hastings. Tho Feilding Cycle Club’s road race on Saturday resulted as follows:—J. Alien (4imin) 1, Wilson (4niin) 2, ana White (3jmin) 3. White also secured the fastest time for the course of li miles.
