NOTE.—The cattlo in both these herds are mostly young cows showing evidence of careful breeding and handling. Foundation cows were purchased from such well-known breeders as Messrs. S. J. Goulter, W. E. Pilcher and H. H, Phillips. Testing having been carried out for many years, intending purchasers need have no fears as to the butterfat producing powers of these cattle. Two-year-old heifers under ordinary conditions have produced up to 4021b5. of fat; 3-year-olds up to 4-10, and mature cows up to 534—surely a great performance on country more suitable for sheep-farming than dairying. Soumise Majesty blood is an outstanding feature, which, in itself is a great safeguard as to constitution, quality and butterfat. Dairymen in search of first-class cattle aro advised to attend this sale. A car will meet trains at Waipawa on the morning of the sale. Light Luncheon provided.
