Disciplinary Measure
INDIAN CRICKETER SENT HOME United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph. —Copyright. Received Sunday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Juno 20. Amarnatk, the Indian cricketer, was sent back home this morning as a disciplinary measure. lie says: “The trouble arose in the Minor Counties match. I had previously been bating fourth or fifth, but on that occasion I was told to put ou the pads aud was kept waiting for four hours. I went in seventh and when I came out I threw my bat and pads in a corner. I said nothing against the captain, Maharaj Kumar Vizianagraiu. Whatever 1 said to the other players I did not intend for tho captain. My team fellows pleaded with the manager, Captain Jones, to give me another chance, to which the Ala ha raj Kumar was agreeable, but apparently 1 was blamed for letters to India complaining of the method of running the team, although I had not written them. I was most distressed aud wept throughout the night. I feel better now that I have got this explanation off my chest.”
