Little Theatre Society

HAPPY SUPPER PARTY After tho fall of the final curtain upon tho successful production oi “Laburnum Grove,” by the Little Theatre Society on Friday evening, a very pleasant function tuok place upon the Opera house stage, when tho president of tho society, Air H. G. Dag nail, and Airs Bagnali entertained tincast and ail those who had assisted in the production of the play at supper. Iu thanking the president aud Airs Bagnali for their kindness on beiian of the members of the company, Air J. P. AlcDavitt referred to the goud fortune of the society iu possessing as president a gentleman of Air Bagnali's high standing in tho community. Mr Bagnali’s association with the young society had undoubtedly been a big factor in giving it prestige m dramatic circles. Tho healths of host and hostess were drunk with musical honours. Special thanks were tendered by the producer, Mrs L. Bristow, aud other members of the company to Air and Mrs J. H. Young and Mr and Airs G. Petersen, who had thrown open their homes for the rehearsal of the pro: duction.

During the evening Mr J. P. AlcDavitt took tho opportunity of making a presentation to Mrs Bristow on behalf of the members of tho company, in recognition of her untiring efforts iu tho successful production of tho play. Thanking the company. Airs Bristow expressed her appreciation of the work so willingly and untiringly given by each and every one in anyway connected with the production. A feature of the supper decorations was a* tiny birthday cake, beautifully iced, with one candle on it—a token that “Laburnum rGove,” the society’s first public production, might be taken as being its “first birthday” passed.
