From Aunt Margaret

DEAR COGS, Have you been to the Show? There are so many exciting things there. There are the scooter-boats, the big wheel, and aeroplanes that swing out into th air. However, -the happy little birds interested me most of all, they were so beautiful, green, yellow and blue, their bright feathers so sleek and shiny. The brightly coloured lights suspended above the streets and shops turn the city into a veritable fairyland and make everything look so gay. Show Week is fun, isn’t it, Cogs? You must all write and tell me what you liked best of all. Aunt Agatha has just popped round the comer to tell me about the big floods, ‘‘They are so irrigating,” he remarked. Again our flag of victory flies high, Cogs, but Mr. Puz. is cooking very menacing. Perhaps ho is planning a revenge. He actually forgot to wear his scarf yesterday and that is most unusual, so there is something brewing, I’m sure. I was delighted to see the Emu on Thursday, when she brought some lovely scrapbooks for our Treasure Chest and some peggy-squares, too. Many thanks, The Emu. Mr. Printerman is brandishing his shoehorn wickedly, so till next week. Your friend, AUNT MARGARET.
