The Motor Olympia
The display of cars in the Olympia is fully equal to any previously held. Streamlining has been modified and lines improved generally until at present the cars are models of smooth-flow-ing beauty. Among the improvements most noticeable on the various stands were fume-proof bodies together witn new steel wheels. The American makers still cling to their radiator grills, bulbous mudguards and variety of parking lights. Instrument panels from America are becoming more of an aeroplane typo than heretofore and the usual engines on these seem to be of six and eight cylinders. Spring
spoke steering wheels seem to be coming popular, as is a modified type of independent suspension. That English cars are becoming more popular is demonstrated by the fact that an English car holds pride of place in the sales competition. Lowpressure tyres are more general, and the "no draught” ventilation is featured by almost every designer.
