The first monthly meeting of the newly elected school committee was held last week, members present being Air. R.- W. Guy (chairman), Mr. L.-Jamieson, .Mr. in. J. White, Mr. S. Ryder ana Air. S. D. Williams was a very efficient AI-C. The fortnightly meeting of tiro Lind Lodge of Druids was held on Wednesday night, Sister R. Griffiths presiding over a very good attendance of members. Visitors were welcomed from Oroua, Acorn and Alanawatu Lodges, and an official visit was paid by District President Bro. Drake. Installation of officers took place, the following members being installed • into their various positions by the District President, assisted by the AI.C., p.D.P. Bro. Titcombe; A.D., Bro. S. One new member was initiated into the Order. After dodge closed a practice was held by

the team taking part in a ritual : contest at Pahiatua next week. Supper was served by the Sisters and dancing and games were indulged in till a late hour.
