Te Awe Awe Boy Scouts

The monthly meeting' of the Te Awe Awe scout troop committee took place last week. There were present Mesdames J. -H. Whyte (treasurer), C. 3-. Drake (secretary), H. G. Mills, E. Berry, M.- Ross, Miss T. Holmes (cub-mistress'),'-Messrs H. G. Mills and Gust. An apology.' of absence was received from Colonel J. H. Whyte. It was decided to write a'letter of -sympathy to the- scoutmaster, Mr G. Grindrod, who is at present an inmate of the

public hospital. The scoutmaster at present being unavailable, it was decided to postpone the parents’ evening to be given by the combined troop and pack until a later date. The competition for the. baby’s woollen garment, made and donated by Mrs E. Berry, was won by Mrs B. Bose, Miro street. The visiting committee for the month are: Scouts, Mr H. G. Miils; cubs, "Mrs Boss.
