able. It is expected that hundreds of thousands of “white collar” workers and intellectuals, who hitherto were unqualified for membership because of the “sins of their fathers” who were bourgeois, will now flock Into the League.

The ago limit of members, which was formerly fourteten to twenty-three, has been advanced, and will bo from fifteen to twenty-six. Applicants who are deemed politically uneducated will be admitted as candidates for a period of six months, when they are expected to attain the minimum political-education course prescribed. It is predicted that this constitutes a preliminary step to the wider opening of the doors of the parent body, whose membership Is now under two million.
