Kitchen Tea for Bride Elect

At her homo in Fitzherbert Avonuo, Palmerston North, Mrs R. Cockburn entertained a number of . friends recently in honour of Miss Aileen Sutton, whose mnrriago takes place to-day. The hostess, who wore a gown of brown floral silk, was assisted by her daughter Mavis, who was attired in a dainty gown of pink. The guest of lionoui chose a model gown of red and blue floral design. During the. evening dancing was indulged in, while a recitation by Mrs B. Speilccr and a mouthorgan item by Mr T. Bradley were much appreciated. Several competitions were held, the winners being: Miss G. Aubrey, Mrs A. W. Sutton, Mrs B. Spencer, Miss A. Sutton, Mr Hobden and Mr D. McEwen. After supper Miss A. Sutton was called upon to open the parcels. Many useful and beautiful gifts, were revealed, for which Mr W. Green ably thankee tho guests on behalf of Miss Sutton.
