According to Miss Elizabeth Loe, a tutor to the British Drama League, who recently visited Palmerston North. Stratford is the coldest place she has ever visited. Speaking to a representative of the Stratford Post, Miss Loo admitted that Egmont was a wonderful scenic attraction, but the surrounding country was deemed scraggy and untidy. The rolling downs, so often praised bv c other visitors, had not the slightest effect on the visitor, who confessed that she was mainly impressed by the bitter cold.
