The chairman also paid tribute to tho groundsman (Mr R. MeMurray) and secretary (Mr H. W. Mullaney) for untiring efforts on behalf of the club.
The annual report of tho ladies' committee recorded keenness on the part of players and contained appreciation of the services rendered by Messrs McMurray (groundsman), Ekstedt (coacfi), Venncll (caterer), and work of the committee. Special thanks were due to Mrs Cioehetto for the use of her home for committee meet-

Hart voiced the appreciation members felt at -what Mr Bennett had done for the club during the year, especially in connection w-ith the new links. A great deal of work and time had been involved and lie would like to see the thanks of the club recorded in the minutes.
Mr R. W. Cumberworth spoke in similar vein, stating that the club had been very fortunate in having a man of Mr Bennett’s calibre at its head. It was also decided to record the services rendered by Mr Sinclair as club captain and Messrs W. D. Reid and T. P. Hart as members of the committee.
When the question of the Park road course was being discussed, Mr Cum* berworth said a yearly revenue of £I2OO -would be needed to keep it in order. This would necessitate raising the subscriptions. The cost could be cut by the use of sheep to keep the grass down, but the committee would like to see sheep entirely off the place owing to the damage they did to the bunkers (of which there would be 44) and other reasons. The course was now being laid out under the supervision of Mr P. Black, city curator. Fairways and greens were being laid out, bunkers formed, and trees planted. The meeting agreed to increased subscriptions to meet the additional finance required. Opening day was fixed for Saturday next, March 28.
