NOT BEFORE MARCH 25 WILL PROBABLY BE DELIVERED BY HERR VON RIBBENTROP. BERLIN, March 23. Indications are that the German reply will not be completed before March 25th, when Herr von Ribbentrop will probably deliver it personally in London. The British United Press says it is hinted that while rejecting an international policing of the Rhineland it will not be an unqualified “No,” but an offer that the new proposals will preserve negotiations.
Suspicious France AFRAID OF GERMAN BARGAINING. LONDON, March 23. The French press foresees more German bargaining and stresses the need for watching that any new offers they
exact from Mr. Eden do not involve danger to France. Air. Ward Price in the “Daily Mail,” who has been in close company with Herr Hitler over the week-end predicts a strong German refusal to make any concession of parity treatment. The League Council’s meeting fixed for to-day to consider draft proposals from the Locarno Powers has been postponed until Tuesday owing to the delay in the reply from Germany. No Loans to Germany (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Mar. 23. Replying to a question in the House of Commons, the Financial Secretary to the Treasury stated that no credit or loan to tho German Government or to" German banks by the British Government or tho Bank of England was in negotiation or contemplation.
