Valedictory
MISS J. MARTIN. At the conclusion of the business meeting of St. Paul’s Sunday School teachers, held on Monday evening, opportunity was taken of bidding farewell to Miss Jean Martin, who is shortly to bo married and make her home in Dannevirke. The superintendent of tho school, in referring to the excellent service rendered by Miss Martin, spoke of her outstanding success as co-leader in the primary department, where she had earned the love and esteem of her little children. Whilcteachers and scholars alike regretted her departure from them, they all joined in extending to her their best wishes- for her future happiness. Rev. A. L. Dixon, Messrs. E. McFarland and A. Reid, also Miss L. Spence, all referred ■to Miss Martin’s happy and successful association with the Sunday School, and joined in expressing congratulations and good wishes. On behalf of the staff Mr. Buist handed to Miss Martin a dainty silver cake tray as a token of their affection and esteem. Miss Martin suitably responded and the singing of “Auld Lang Syne" concluded a happy gathering.
