St. David’s Players

At tho first meeting of the newlyformed St. David’s Players’ Club in St. David’s Presbyterian Bible Class room, Terraco End, there was an attendance of 30 members. Rev. J. S. Pate occupied the chair and expressed his pleasure at seeing so many present for the first meeting. He hoped that the club, would have an enjoyable season. The following programme was submitted: Pianoforte solo, “Polish Dance" (Scharwinka), Mrs Crooks; vocal solo, “Trees/’ Miss Day; one-act play, “Aunt Lizzie’s Friend,” ,by feven members of the club; community sing; recitation, Mrs Ashby; reading, Mrs Squires. Supper, provided by the ladies, concluded a most enjoyable evening.
