From Our Own Correspondent Miniature Rifle Club. Tho annual meeting of the Miniature Rifle Club was held on Monday night when Mr. R. 13. McKenzie (president) occupied tho chair. There was a good attendance. Tho balance-sheet showed the club’s affairs to bo in a sound position. It was decided that tho handicap lie based on an aggregate o£ last three shoots, and that tho teams ho selected from the ladder. Opening night was fixed for Monday, March 31, and compctiUc n n’glu to start two weeks later. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. A. \V. Anion (re-elected); president, Air. D. Huddleston, C. I). Anderson, J. Bartlett; delegates to association, Messrs X Amon and D. Dundy; lion, auditor, Mr. C. M. Broughton; selection committee, Messrs J. Bartlett, D. Huddleston, R. McKenzie; handicaper, Mr. J. Bartlett; trophy committee, Messrs J. Bartlett and X. Amon; markers, Messrs P. Thorby, C. Anderson, R. McKenzie, N. Amon.

The annual report stated that early ii: tho season the club’s shooting strength was weakened by losing some of the best shots but the younger ones came on later and brought the strength of the club back and enabled ,t to hod its own and como out successful again this season. The club holds the McKelvie cup and shares honours for the Cliff and Remington cup. Tho club was most unfortunate to lose Mr. Tom Prichard (president), who was one of the hardest workers and keenest shot in the club. Thanks are due to the donors of prize money during tho year. The report referred to the late Mr. McKelvie who gave the McKelvie cup and whose Interest and enthusiasm in all forms of sport will be greatly missed; and also to the loss the club had sustained through the death of one of its oldest members and keen supporter, Mr. Stanley ‘Sharp, a past president of tho club.
