Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following, cable from their London agents, datel March 20, 1936: — Frozen meat quotations (prices on a “delivered” basis, i.e., including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc.). °North Island Down lambs, 28/36 lbs., 7 3-8 d per lb.; 36/42 lbs., 63d per lb. Best North Island crossbred lambs, 28/36 lbs., 7 l-8d por lb.; 36/42 lbs., 6 5-8 d per lb. North Island second quality lambs, average 30/31 lbs., 6 7-Bd. Best North Island wether sheep, under 48 lbs., 5 7-8 d per lb; 48/56 lbs., 5 3-8 d por lb.; 56/64 lbs., 4 5-8 d per lb.; 64/72 lbs., 4d per lb. North Island ewes, under 48 lbs., 4 3-8 d per lb; 48/56 lbs., 3 7-8 d per lb.; 56/64 lbs., 3 5-8 d per lb.; 64/72 lbs., 34d per lb. New Zealand pribe ox beef, 160/220 lbs., 3}d per lb. Compared with last week’s quotations, lamb 28/36 lbs. 3d per lb. higher, second quality lamb l-8d per lb. higher, wethers 64/72 lbs. l-8d per lb. lower. Others unchanged. Tho lamb'market on the spot is better, particularly for light weights. Tho mutton market is slightly easier.
