OPENING NEXT WEEK BY COMMISSION. riVE COUNCILLORS APPOINTED Parliament will be opened next Wednesday by a commission of live members of the Legislative Council. The Prime Minister, Hon. M. JSavage, stated yesterday that the personnel of the commission would be as follows: — Hon. Sir Walter Carncross (Speaker). Hon. Mark Fagan (new leader). Hon. R. Masters (former leader). Hon. T. O’Byrne (Invercargill). Hon. E. R. Davis (Auckland). The Prime Minister aLo mentioned chat, in the House of Representatives, the mover of the Address-in-Reply to the Governor-General’s speech would be Mr. W. J. Lyon, the Labour member for Wai'emata, and the seconder would be Mr. W. J. Anderton, Labour member for Eden.
