Rongotea

From Our Own Correspondent. Tho harvest thanksgiving services at the Rongotea Methodist Church on .Sunday attracted large congregations both morning and evening, many old time friends coming from a distance in the morning to share in the fellowship associated with such a gathering. The harvest hymns were sung In an especially spirited manner, while the elioir was heard to advantage in special anthems. Mrs C. ,S. Hamlin presided at tho organ. Rev. R. E. Eordyce was the preacher at both services and also took the chair at the social and sale of produce on Monday evening. A concert was given in the early part of the evening, followed by the disposal of tho produce. Mr E. Print was in charge of this. The sum of £2O was raised in the hall, and there are still some cash donations to come in which will be devoted to church work. Those taking part in the programme were MrS R. Uafter,. Misses A. and M. Hunt, M. Huddleston and I). Keinpton, Messrs -J. Peacock. A.-Pedlcy and H. Glo.vtl. Tho secretary of (lie trust (Mr Co)in Hunt) contributed largely to the success by ids. work in supervising the decorations is the church, and assembling tho produce.
