The financial returns of railway operations during the period ended on 4th January reveal an excess of working expenditure of £133,723, as compared with £127,213 during a similar period of last railway year. Working revenue totalled £5211,135, an increase of £30,573 over that for the similar period of 1935, while operating expenditure was also higher—£39s,4l2 as compared with £371,349.
