Swimming Baths to Close
THE APPROACH OF AUTUMN. Although tho activities of tho Pahiatua Swimming Club have been hampered to a considerable extent by the i>revaleaeo of unusual perverseness in weather conditions over the past few months, swimmers will regret to learn that as from Saturday next tho local baths will bo closed for tho season, the committee having decided that, with the early approach of tho autumn months, it would bo futilo to endeavour to continue the usual club nights and carnivals.
