Local jottings
Air. J. A. Walsh reports that a fair number of applications have been received for the position of caretakergardener to the Carnival Park, and-the members of tho board are to meet today to make a selection. The shop day run by members of St. Peter’s Church of England choir on Saturday was an outstanding success and raised some £lO. The stall opened in the morning and carried on throughout the afternoon. Those in charge were: Aresdames W. H. Purdio, W. L. Tattle, H. A. Bick, A. W. Hamilton, J. G. Green and V. J. Scott and Aliss Coldicutt.
