Bowling in Feilding
OROUA RETAINS DIXON CUP. On the Oroua Bowling Club’s green on Saturday afternoon, at Feilding, Ted Hick’s rink, which captured the Dixon Cup from Takaro a week ago by- 25 points to 14, was successful against Kershaw’s Pahiatua rink by 22 points to 19. The rinks were:—Oroua: Law, Price, Wood, Hicks (s.) 22 v. Pahiatua: Walsh, Clark, Britland, Kershaw (s.) 19. Tile Pahiatua Club sent over three other rinks for friendly games, the results being as follows, Oroua mentioned first in each instance:— Beidgo, AlcPhail, AlcLean, Roach (s.) 22 v. Ilodd (s.) 16; Campbell, Harrison, J. Petrie, Hewat (s.) 2G v. Britland (s.) 15; Hamilton, Buekman, Andrews, Aitken (s.) 39 v. Hunter (s.) 9. Oroua 47, Pahiatua 40. Tlio next challenge in for the Dixon Cup is that of the Feilding Club.
