Obituary

MR W. J. JONES, OF ALFREDTON.

The death occurred in Palmerston North hospital on. Thursday, of Mr William James Jones, brother of Mr George Jones, of Pahiatua. Thirty years of Mr Jones’ life were spent at AHredton, and many prominent settlers of the Bush district will recall the old coaching days in connecion with which the late Mr Jones carried on a service between Eketahuna and Alfredton.

Air Jones married Miss Edith Saunders, the youngest daughter of Mr William Saunders, of Alfredton, who died some 1G years ago. There ia bo family.
