Speedway Attraction

At the Showgrounds to-night will be staged Putt Mossman’s complete Rodeo and Circus and the programme which embraces every class of event that can be done on a motor-cycle, is full of thrills from start to finish. Putt will give his daredevil feat of driving a motor-cycle down a steep plank from the top of tho grandstand under the track wires and then crash through a blazing wood wall. The fact that in doing this ride on Saturday night at Wellington he received injuries which necessitated his removal to the hospital has not stopped Putt from again attempting the feat shows conclusively that he can justly be hailed as the world’s greatest stunt rider. In addition to this event there will be a miniature T.T. motor-cycle race of 25 laps in which the six fastest riders will compete, motor-cycle polo, caveman soccer and Putt’s blinufolded leap over Pee Wee Culluni, whilst Putt will again give his ladder climbing exhibition and a 'complete performance of his many feats of trick and stunt motor-cycle riding, ably assisted by his sister, Dessie Grant, lady all-round champion motor-cyclist. During the evening there will be six midget automobile races in which Leu Southward and Clarrie Tonks, of Wellington, will compete against the Yanks. These events are well worth seeing alone. During the evening Pec Wee Uuiluni, famous motorcycle clown of Putt Mossman’s circus, will keep the public highly amused with his clever, if eccentric, feats of riding and stunting. As this will be the only opportunity of seeing tho Americans m their clever and daredevil motor-cycle' events, the public are advised to go early and securo the best seats. (Starting will be from the front of the main stand and both stands will be available as usual. In the event of weather making a postponement necessary, the same programme will be run to-morrow night (Thursday).
