Sunshine Club Members Enjoy Garden Afternoon
Tlie Sunshine Club held its first meeting for the rear on Thursday afternoon. It took the form of a garden afternoon, being hold at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Just. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesd-'- ' "A .W. Just, L. J. Plank and J. Jlousten, and altogether thero were about 14 members present. Pleasing items contributed by Mesdames Jones and Irwen (songs) and Miss I. Currin (pianoforte solo) added to the entertainment of the members, while a competition for silk stockings was won by Mrs. Emmett. A dainty afternoon tea was served. The monthly donation, which is usually made to a local society, will, from this meeting, be utilised for sending children in need of a change, to the Otaki health camp.
Viewing the museum and aviary provided pleasing diversion for those present.
