Dr. Georgina Sweet, a prominent w—ker am ; women’s organis-" in Australia and an honorary lecturer in zoology at Melbourne University, arrived by the Monowai on Monday, and intends to spend some time ir Wellington before sailing for London. Dr. Sweet founded tho Fan-Pacific Women’s Committee and the Australian joint standing committee of the Women’s Major Federal Organisation, with international affiliations, and she was for seven years the national president of the Y.W.C.A. of Australia. Iu May she will represent the executive of the W.rld Y.W.C.A., at a conference at Geneva, and in October she will proceed to Ceylon to attend the World Council and Pacific Area Conference. Next year she will be present at the Fan-Pacific Women’s Association meeting, which is to be held either in Canada or Japan.
