From Oar Own Correspondent. Tennis Match at Aratika. On Saturday last a B team from Colyjii visited Aratika to play a friendly match. After an interesting afternoon’s tennis the result was a draw, each side winning 12'set's and 110 games. Details of wero as' follows, Aratika players being- mentioned first:— Ladies’ singles: Mrs S. Funston 2 —6. Personal. Mrs E. W. Spooner, of Taihape, has been visiting her daughter, Mrs L. N. Bradley of Colyton. Mrs G. P. Burr. "Lawdonburn ’ is the guest of her sister, Mrs Anderson at Palmerston North. Advantage was taken of the week-end excursion to the Waitomo Caves by a party of bright young folk from Colyton. A delightful time was spent by all under ideal weather conditions. Arriving home tired but extremely satisfied with the outing were Misses H.. Hocken, C. Andrews. J. Wealleans, J. Funston, W. Wales, Messrs W. and N. Hocken, J. Humphries, It. Burgess, C. Burr and N. Walker.
