United Press Association—Bv Electric Telegraph.—Copyrigh t. LONDON, Jan. 19. Messages from tho Far East eonlirm the belief that tho Japanese are rapidly spreading their influence in China. The Daily Herald’s Peking correspondent says that as a result of Japan’s new sensational blow, tho vast State of Inner Mongolia, hitherto under tho Nanking Government's ovcrlordship, has declared itself independent, and that it will now be controlled from Tokio. Prince Teh Wang, formerly chairman of the inner Mongolia autonomous council, has announced that he has become supreme ruler of tho independent inner Mongolian -Empire. Wang carried on secret negotiations With Tokio, Nanking, and Moscow, and decided to throw in his lot with the Japanese and Manchukuo Governments, whose troop movements forced his hand. The Manchukuo Government has presented Wang, who is a direct descendant of Jenghiz .Khan, with a private aeroplane, and has guaranteed him ample supplies of arms and support in the event of aggression by the Nanking Government.
Japan lias succeeded in outflanking Russia’s ally, tho independent outer Mongolian [Republic, besides completing the encirclement of North China by new puppet States accepting Japanese ovcrlordship.

PEKING, Jan. 19.
Prince Teh Wang und Jodpajak, the Mongol leader in Charhar Province, announce tho establishment of a new autonomous State under the name of Mengkukuo.
