Local Jottings

The police raided three premises in Eketahuna on Saturday evening last and in consequence of their visit it is understood that charges will be laid against the proprietors for the unlawful sale of liquor. The rdvcrbanlc Dairy Company, Woodvillo (cheese), is advancing 9d per lb against December supply. Eighty tickets were issued at the Pahiatua station on the Sunday excursion train to Napier. There were 12 carriages on tho train and every one was fully occupied. Yesterday, members of the Domain Board paid a visit of inspection to Carnival Park, and as a result, several improvements are to be effected shortly-
