LONDON, Dec. 10.

A five-yoa,r-old boy who will not grow up ia in the National Hospital for Diseases of tho Nervous System., Queen Square, Bloomsbury. If he., can be made to grow, an outstanding triumph of medical science will have been achieved.

This extraordinary child is Albert Ede, whose parents, perfectly normal and healthy, live in Surrey. Albert is only 26Jin. in height and weighs 151 b. A normal child of his age would be 42in. in height and weigh about 451 b.

An official at the hospital told a reporter that Albert weighed 71b. at birth and for the first six months grew normally. "Albert’s trouble is a rare one—the dwarfing of the pituitary gland (which controls growth). Wo have made a thorough study of him and hope to make him start growing in good time. Many doctors, apart from our own, are watching Albert's progress with interest."
