Feilding Borough Council
RATE PAYMENTS. Of the total amount, £15,900, duo to the Feilding Borough Council for rates, the sum of £5900 has been paid to date, leaving 68 per cent, yet to come in. With the imposition of the 10 per cent, penalty, operating early next month, it is expected that substantial amounts will be paid during the next two weeks. Although all the outstanding rates will not be paid, the penalty is an added incentive to payment which is regarded with importance. At this period last year the amount paid stood at £6ooo— £lOO more', than the sum received by the borough officials to date this year.
