Queen Marie of Rumania

It was while she was shopping that Queen Marie of Rumania, who was staying at the Ritz, received the news of the death of her son-in-law, King Alexander, and she was at once invited by Their Majesties to stay at Buckingham Palace to avoid the crush of inquiries. Her grandson, the young King of Yugoslavia, may come back to his school in England, but it will not be for some time. Meantime, Queen Marie’s other daughter, the Archduchess Anton, has put dowu the name of her eldest son, Stefan, for Mr Winter’s school at Northaw, the old home of the Deerings, in Kent.
