From Our Own Correspondent, Sharland —Bangs Wedding.
A pretty wedding o£ weal interest was solemnised in To i J uke Methodist Church on .December 21, 1035, the contracting parties being Amy, second daughter oi Mr and Mrs A. W. Dangs, and George Edward, only son ot Mrs Sharland, of Mamaku. Bov. Mr Gregory was the olticiating clergyman, and Miss Harris presided at the organ. The bride entered the church with her father, and was daintily attired in a siimtltting frock of white corded silk, a silk girdle completing the waistline. She also wore silk corded white shoes and her silk embroidered tulle veil was arranged to the head with a wreath of orange blossom. A beautiful sheaf of madonna lilies and asparagus fern completed a pretty toilet. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Elsie Hangs and Miss Jean Davidson, both of whom were attired in pretty cornflower blue sand-crepe marocain frocks and blue satin head bands. Both carried bouquets of pink and blue sweet peas and asparagus fern. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr K. Bangs. A reception was subsequently held at the home of the bride's parents, where a number of relatives and friends were entertained. The bride's mother wore a frock or floral marocaln with hat to tone and carried a posy of carnations and asparagus fern. The bridegroom's mother ws attired in a grey silk dress with hat to tone and carried a posy of roses and fern. The happy couple later left by car for Auckland, the bride wearing a frock of black and white polka dotted marocain with hat and shoes to tone. Mr and Mrs Sharland’s future residence will bo in Mamaku.

Highway Mishaps,

The driver, Mr H. J. Trask, also or Palmerston Norm, received cuts about the lace trom flying glass, but escaped serious injury. ao one m • the car was nun. The truck was considerably Uamageu but the oar was able to proceed into Buxton. The second misnap occurred near the racecourse wnen a car struck the rear wheel of a bicycle ridden by Mr T. Biimaloif, who was cycling into Boxton. Mr Biknalotf was thrown trom his machine, but iortunately escaped injury.
A collision between a motor-car and a transport lorry occurred on tho Foxton line on .Monday- morning, when a lorry driven by Mr Bernard Ivan MeLeavy, of To Horo, proceeding to Levin, and a car proceeding to paiinerston North, driven by Mr Michael Martin Tierney, farm labourer of Oroua Downs, were involved. The latter, in attempting to pull in behind two cyclists, accidentally put liis toot on the accelerator instead of the brake and losing control, struck tho back of the lorry. Tho right hand dual wheel of tho lorry mounted the radiator of the car and the lorry’s load of drums of petrol was thrown on to the road. The car was wrecked and tho lorry also damaged, but Mr Tierney escaped with superficial cuts and bruises.
