’Mr and Mrs S. H. Roberts and their son lan, have returned to “Ng-ahere,” Shannon, after spending Christmas holidays at "Ivomo.”

Mr and Mrs W. R. Kibhlewhite and tlieir son David, Hatuina, were the guests of Mrs J. E. Wingate, “Cairnsmore,” during tho week-end. Miss Marjorie Wingate has returned to Wellington, after spending the holidays at her home, "Cairnsmore.”

.Jim Nash junr. is at present staying with his grandfather, Mr F. J. Roberts, while Mr J. F. Roberts has returned to To Ivuiti.

Miss Madge McKay has recently been staying with her sister, Mrs C. F. Viles, “Kopjes,” Mt, Richards road.

Miss M. Stevens, of "Mahara,” is at present holidaying in Palmerston North. Roy Stevens has returned from a holiday in that city.

Mr and Mrs C. I. Ramsden have spent tho holidays in Masterton as the guests of Mr and Mrs H. Beetham.

Tin; iino weather which has prevailed during tho holiday season has tempted many picnickers to the shade of tho willows near the sparkling waters of Ihe T-’ohangina river and Coal creek, where swimming has been much appreciated. Many Tine days lia.ve been wel! utilised by tho farmers who havo been busy with hay-making. This week the fat stock buyer is visiting the district. Farmers hope to get away big drafts of fat lambs. This hope seems to bo justified, as already the lorries aro busy travelling the roads with their loads of lambs.
