New Administrator Of Western Samoa
ANNOUNCEMENT SHORTLY (Special to ‘ ‘ Times. ’’) WELLINGTON, Last Night. An indication that the Administratorship of Western Samoa, which has been vacant for some time, would shortly be tilled was given by the Prime Minister (Hon. M. J. Savage; to-day. He said he had several uam»s before him from which to elioose. “We must let the Samoans see that we arc their friends, ” said Mr Savage. •‘We must give sonic evidence of it. That means the appointment of s'-ae-onc who will bo able to convince the Samoans that we arc their friends and that we want them to work in cooperation with us. And I think they will do it.”
