An indication that the Administratorship of Western Samoa, which has been vacant for some time, would shortly be tilled was given by the Prime Minister (Hon. M. J. Savage; to-day. He said he had several uam»s before him from which to elioose. “We must let the Samoans see that we arc their friends, ” said Mr Savage. •‘We must give sonic evidence of it. That means the appointment of s'-ae-onc who will bo able to convince the Samoans that we arc their friends and that we want them to work in cooperation with us. And I think they will do it.”
