Mr C. Kinsclla, captain of the Star football Club’s senior team nt New Plymouth last season, has taken up a business appointment in Palmerston North.
Vice-Admiral (Sir Humphrey Walwyn, the new Governor of Newfoundland, will sail from England on January 9 ta take up his appointment, states a British Official Wireless message.
It was decided some time ago that close co-operation between the Australian and New Zealand Military Forces should be maintained, as the military problems of the two countries arc similar, and in furtherance of this scheme Major H. C. Robertson, D. 5.0., arrived it: New Zealand by the Monowai, which reached Wellington yesterday. Major Robertson, who holds the position of Director of Military Art. at Duntroon Military College, New youth Wales, was a cadet at Duntroon before the war, and served in Egypt, Gallipoli, and Palestine with the Tenth Light Horse. He later joined the Australian Staff, and after, spending two years at the Staff College after the war took command of the Small Arms School, Sydnoy. Ho then spent some time in Queensland before taking up his present position at Duntroon.
