STRUGGLE WITH BURGLAR LONDON, Nov. 30. A young girl, Miss Beryl Masland, of Cubbington, near Leamingtrn, described recently how she struggled in her bedroom with a burglar who escaped with a pearl necklace, worth several hundred pounds, and other jewellery. Miss Masland was going down to dinner when she returned to her bedroom for her pearls. She saw a man climbing out of the window. “I dashed across tho room,” she said, “and caught him by one leg. He kicked me with tho other and struck me, but 1 keld on for nearly two minutes. Then I had to let go because my strength was failing.”
