Prisoner Seriously Injured

FELL ON CONCRETE DURING SCUFFLE AUCKLAND, Last Night. A prisoner at Mount Eden gaol, Robert Dixon, aged -19, a married man, suffered sever injuries to his head, including a possible fracture of'the skull, when ho fell heavily on the concrete floor. The injured man, a labourer, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is serious.

It is stated that Dixou and another prisoner were engaged in cleaning work inside the prison when a difference arose between them and a scuffle ensued. Dixon struck his head heavily in falling. It was apparent that he had been severely injured and he was removed to the sick bay for attention.
