TIPS OP FINGERS CUT OFP. A littlo girl named. Gene Cornford, aged about two years, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jaek Cornford, of Paliiatua, met with a painful accident on Monday afternoon when playing with her young brother Gale. It appears that the latter was cutting chips at the wood pile, and by mischance the little one got her hand in the w 7 ay of the chopper, which took the tips off the first and middle finger of the left hand. She was attended by a doctor, and hurried into hospital. The lad who was using tho axe, found it lying outside in the wood heap, where it had inadvertently been left.
