Mr Cobbe replied that to suddenly reduce the exchange rate would create heavy repercussions and no Government, he thought, would act without giving due notice. "The inflation of paper money, -which was the policy of the Labour party, would have a very ugly effect on maturing insurance policies,” said lion. J. G. Cobbe, speaking at Omatanc on Eriday night.
