"Will the Government givo good notice when it is decided to reduce the exchange rate?” was a question put to Hon. J. G. Cobbe at his meeting at Ohutu on Saturday night. Mr Cobbe replied that to suddenly reduce the exchange rate would create heavy repercussions and no Government, he thought, would act without giving due notice. "The inflation of paper money, -which was the policy of the Labour party, would have a very ugly effect on maturing insurance policies,” said lion. J. G. Cobbe, speaking at Omatanc on Eriday night. "A person,” tho Minister continued, “ou going to his osurauco company to collect tho money of his matured policy would, with Labour’s inflated sekemo in operation, come away with a very uncomfortable feeling.’ ’
