Terrific Gales at Pahiatua

VISITATION LASTS OVER TWO HOURS Pahiatua was visited by a terrific gale yesterday afternoon about four o’clock, and as a result nearly overyonc kept indoors while thoso travelling in cars experienced much difficulty in keoping on tho road. The severity of the, storm was not felt on the Palmerston North side of tho gorge, and service cars from Wellington - reported that the wind was barely noticeable in Masterton.
