Bridge Party at “Northfield," Feilding

On Friday afternoon, a second very bright party was given to welcome Miss Flora Conway home. The hostesses on this occasion were Misses Patricia Goodbehere and Betty Hogg and the party took place at ‘ ‘Northfield,” Miss Goodbehere's homo in Kimboiton road.

Quantities of beautiful roses, iceland poppies and rkododendruns were used to adorn the various rooms in which the guests were oritertained, bridge being played in two and tea dispensed in a third. The weather again held fine and warm sunsliino enhanced the pleasure of the party and- gave, to all that feeling of well-being and cheer that only sunshine can offset. Miss Amy Phillips carried, off the prize for the highest score and Mrs 11. R. Williams, a visitor from Gisborne, that for the hidden number, while a third prize went to Miss Joy Stuoiiey. Miss Goodbcliore wore blue and white flowered crepe silk, Miss Hogg a frock in steel blue colouring and Miss Conway a model in beige silk with touches of wine red and a smart hat in the two shades.

The guests were Mesdames G. M. Meyrick, H. Wirgman Wood, H. It. Williams, A. Hobson, Noel Triggs (Palmerston North), and Misses Conway (J), A. Phillips, M. Bailey, M. Ross, M. Johnston, E. Swainson, 11. Cornfoot, E. Brood, A. Caldwell, D. Shannon, L. Hare, P. Levin, M. Bell, J. Stuckey, G. Kellow aud B. Pa-rkes.
