Pahiatua Swimming Club
EIiECTION OF OFFICERS. The following officers wero elected at last night’s annual meeting of the Pahiatua Swimming Club: —Patron, Air J. A. Walsh; president, Air O. E. B. Irving; hon. secretary, Air W. B. Bichardson; hon. treasurer, Air H. A. Fairweather; . vice-presidents, Drs. Dawsou aud Patterson and Alessrs W. Browu, F. Cosford and A. Clark; carnival secretary, Air W. A. Carthew; executive committee, officers and Alessrs G. Stafford, B. Smith Carthew and Cosford. At the conclusion of the meeting Dr. Dawson took advantago of the occasion to present Air Walsh, the retiring president, with a gentleman’s personal table and Airs Walsh with a handsome easy chair. He remarked that Air Walsh had been a great booster of the club which owed its success in no. small manner to his unflagging interest. Several other speakers eulogised the servico rendered by Air and Airs Walsh, Drs. Dawson and. Patterson paying special tribute to tho latter for her philanthropic endeavours on tho committee’s behalf. .
