Tho function had boon arranged to honour Miss Molly Garner, ono of tho loading golfers, who is shortly to be married to Mr N. J. Mrs Garner was picscnt, also Miss K. uarnor. In tho absence of the president (Mrs e. A. Aorahnm), Mrs A. E. Ekstodt, a vice-president made a presentation to Miss Garner on behalf of tho members, an asning ner acceptance of a silver entree dish suitably inscribed, Mrs Ekstedt said it carried no good wishes of her club mates for success and happiness i.i tho future. Miss Garner's ueparturo was a serious loss to tho club but all hoped she would participate in club tournaments at a later date. Miss Garner feelingly expressed her thaniis for tho gift and good wishes and said she would never forget her happy golfing days at Hokowhitu. Elio was accorded musical honours aud cheers. Mrs Ekstedt then presented the trophies donated by Miss W. Scott for tho competition for the day to Mrs H. R." Whitehead and Mrs D. O. Williams whose card' read 93—14 —79. This concluded a very pleasant function excellently arranged by tho secretary, Mrs L. Seifert and her assistant, Mrs L. Cooper. . Score Cards.
