From the Hub

DEAR COGS, Brush away all those cobwebs and hunt out your bathing suits, for sunny days and blue skies arc here once again. Oh! Cogs, I am overjoyed, this weok wc have scored a triumphant victory. I have been surrounded by Crossword Puzzles and not one incorrect. A magnificent effort to down Mr. Puz. Ah! but talking of that gentleman, at the moment he is sitting in a very dark comer, sulking, and all the while muttering menacingly. Perhaps he is scheming, planning Ills revenge—wemust just wait and see. Did I ever tell you of my Surprise Box, Cogs? It is such an intriguing little box packed full of the most delightful and interesting ideas, and if is kept tucked away where no one but I can find it. Yesterday I was tempted and had just one peep and do you know what happened, Cogs? Our slipped a big surprise, who protested in a loud voice that it was not fair to keep him locked away when he' did so want to meet the Cogs. So here he is. Every week we intend to have a smal portion of Our Page set aside to be used as a General Knowledge and Personality Corner. Tor the personalities I suggest that Cogs write the life story—-jU3t a short one—of one of our most famous men or women, someone whom they admire. It will be fun don’t you think Cogs? Hoppy-go-fetch-it sent in a boautifuly crocheted baby's frock for the Treasure Chest, while Honeysuckle sent such a pretty doll and multi-coloured woollen doll. Thank you very much Cogs. I am sure, Cogs, you will all join with me in sending love aud very best wishes for a speedy recovery to Pamela Seifert, our Cog Kelmarna, who met with an accident last Monday. A big health germ to you Pamela. Your friend, THE HUB.
